I have a Sonos system (which is superb) however ...... using Spotify through the Sonos app is pretty poor, i would like to be able to stream from the spotify app via my Samsung galaxy tab s to my amplifier (primare i30).

Is there a device that would allow me to do this?

Thanks

Does you Primare have the DAC card? If so and you're in the UK, get an Amazon Fire TV box (£70 or so) which has Spotify Connect. The Amazon has an optical out to connect to your amp.

Use the app on your Android tablet to browse, but the music will actually stream from the Amazon Fire directly.

The best way is to set it up with a wired connection to your router thus maximizing your broadband width for music.

Router > ethernet cable > Amazon Fire >...

... HDMI to TV for all the other features

... Optical to Amp for Spotify

Thanks for the reply, I don't think the DAC card is available for the I30, I believe that is the I32. The Gramofon, which is about £40 seems to do what I want, but will continue investigating.

Update

The Gramofon doesn't have optical out, so that take it out of the equation.

I used a Bluetooth receiver which connects to an input on amp. There are many to choose from, the arcam r blink is supposed to be very good. I had the Harman kardon bta10. £50 and sounded great. I love playing music through my tablet...it saves sooo much money...I can just about remember the days of buying many CDs and only listening to them once. Now I only buy ones I know I'll listen to more. :)
