can any one please help me set up my yamaha rx-v3800

Hi i have managed to gat an exdemo Yamaha v3800 from seven oaks as my Arcam AVR 100 died . I have conected another set of speakers (B&W 601s) as my rears to have 7.1 but when playing blueray films nothing comes out them but when playing my xboox they work.I have Sonys DBP S550 blueray player. can some one please help me with my settings.I am useing my B&W DS4's for my side speakers and B&W 603 S2 fronts B&W CC6 S2 center my sub is Rel Q 200E. I have my 3800 set to 'PLIIx Movie' so that I get 'virtual' 7.1 from a 5.1 source. However, you also need to make sure that - for this input - EXT Surround is set to 'Last' rather than 'Auto' so that the setting is retained. I'm afraid it's tucked away in the manual (p95) and tripped me up at first.
