Cambridge Audio DacMagic

Does anyone know about the Cambridge DacMagic is it still worth buying, I sawa reviews but it was a few years old, was thinking about adding the Rega DAC but then saw some rec. for the Cambridge, anyone use it?

Purchased one second hand last year and used the Arcam as transport. It was hidiously clinical compared to the Arcam on its own steam.

Thanks for that, clinical does not sound good to me, prefer a warmer sound.

Checked the Cambridge Audio DacMagic as well very nice build and functuions but the sound is too bright , not focused and the lack of bass

is obvious .

Found the same; too forward/bright.

Firestone Audio Spitfire MkII DAC is a great alternative as would the Arcam rDAC.
