Avi and cables

They are a remarkably honest company...
All that is needed is to restrict, where possible, speaker leads to 5m and use 2.5mm2 multi stranded copper cable. It is readily available from large numbers of suppliers! Good quality phono-to-phono leads made from screened coaxial cable must be used too. In particular, locking or tight fitting ones should be avoided as they often break the inside of the phono socket."

Has anyone got a recommendation for cables for an AVI setup?
Yep.Hifi manufacturers often give recommendations concerning cables- a brand that suits the house brand sound. Cyrus use a modified version of DNM, for example. Avi's design is -according to avi themselves- thus that they don't need any special cables

Thanks guys - I had previously contacted th AVI-recommended action hardware and they told me that the cables I already owned were more than adequate (Gotham IC & multistrand OFC spkr cable). So, no need to spend more £ on cables methinks - now to order that BK Monolith....

And this sort of (excellent and honest) response will undoubtedly go pretty unnoticed among the slew of dealers trying to flog you the more expensive and obviously better bits of wire...:(
