Anyone have any recommendations for cable management for my desktop. I have had a new desk built into my new office and I need to have my hifi setup on the desktop due to issues. The desk is flush to the wall and I don't really want to be routering holes into it as the missus would kill me and I would like to keep the very nice look of it

I have a lot of cables and powerleads that will be on the desktop as the plugs are just above the desktop due to new building regulations- don't get me started on it!

Any ideas would be welcomed

If you have no space to hide the cables you could always make shorter cables to fit (so you could get a shorter power cable at only 25cm if needed).

I have too much stuff on the desktop to do that- tabletpc, DAC, Amp, CD, HDD, Ipod dock, speakers. As most of them have their own power cable, as well as the various interconnects it will look messy to say the least.

I would like a way to "hide" as best as I can most of the cable and/or power leads

Why not build a box that has the dimensions of the equipment you are going to put on top of it, paint it the same colour, and then just put excess cable into the box (so it would need to be open at the back)?
