Hello,

My Cambridge Audio A650 amp is losing channels more and more. I need to swich randomly the inputs to get my music back. Switching to speaker two improved only temporarely then it was the same.

I have a few questions:

-Is it a well known defect?

-Is it bad?

-How much would it cost to repair?

-Should I buy a CA60 instead?

Thank you for your help

Generally you'd be advised to fix your current amp, which shouldn't cost more than 150 quid. But that particular CA amp has an uncommon input preamp section, could become a rabbit hole of going back to the repair tech multiple times and a source of great frustration.

You can risk it or just cash out for the CXA60, which is quite a nice amp for the price.
