budget bookshelf speakers

Hi, I'm new around here and just purchased a cambridge 340a-b amplifier. I'm trying to build my first HI-FI system and need to pair the amp with some budget speakers. I'm looking for some second ones on ebay at around £100 (Roth Oli2, Wharfedale diamond 9.1, Tannoy f1 custom, Q acoustic 2010/2020, Monitor BR1/BR2). The roth oli2 have good reviews and go for £80 new. I'd like to use this system for playing mostly modern music while I'm in my apartment and for movies from time to time. Which ones do you suggest would go better with the cambridge amp?

Good question - lots of great budget choices suggested - the Q Acoustics 2020s are the best options within your budget, with the Oli2s in a close second IMHO. Wharfedale 10.0 or 10.1 are also worth considering.

BR2's are great especially as they were £250 when they came out.

Bargains 2nd hand or new - a few places selling them for £161 new

I just ordered the Roth Oli2 after reading some more reviews around here. Hope i did the right choice as i had no place near me to listen to any hi-fi system.
