Hi guys

I'm starting to put together a budget system.

I pick up a rega rp1

and I'm now looking for a integrated amplifier which would go well with it.

Also thinking about QAcoustic 2010i or 2020i speakers

There are no stores near where I live to "auditon" equipment so I rely on reviews etc.

Any advice would be helpful.

at the minute just attaching the TT.

Could go to £250 max for the amp

Speakers havent been purchased yet

I know you guys are probably f@#$ed off with talk of budget equipment but I'd hoped for some advice by now.

If you are looking to buy new then the Pioneer A30 and Denon PMA720AE are well under budget (they can be had for less than £200) and would suit your turntable and speakers and both have phono stages.

Rotel are known to have good phono stages on their amplifiers, an RA-06 may be within budget second hand.

I have the Marantz PM6005 just reviewed as the best budget amp and very pleased with the sound. £300 though, but well worth it if you can stretch. Have the B&W 865 S2 speakers attached, again, a WhatHiFi 5 star and an awesome sound.

Can't argue with any of that.
