Bose 201 + Marantz M-CR502 = Subwoofer?

Hi,

my set-up is a pair of bose 201 speakers and Marantz M-CR502 CD player. Bose 201 is actually having 6-inch woofer. For purely music-listening application, do I still need a sub-woofer? will it still improve the quality of music sound?

I know you're not asking, but I'm gonna say it anyway...forget the subwoofer and use the money to buy some real speakers instead. Bose 201 are rubbish (no offense, LOL). Seriously, they're horrible. Get a decent pair of speaks and you will be blown away at the improvement over Bose 201s.

well i love the 201s i do have to be slightly honest they do slightly lack bass but they arent huge speakers but keep them but maybe look at the am5 and keep the 201s for a second room
