Blu Ray PCM

Dear All

I have been kindly given Kill Bill on Blu Ray for Christmas. In relation to its sound it outputs 5.1 PCM. I understand that this will be uncompressed sound however how will I know that I am hearing it. I am aware that the HD symbol on my denon 2309 will not glow up but what will it show on my amp. In relation to my new Blu ray player (Sony 560) what do I need to set it to output PCM. I am now showin this on my new Sony 40w5810.

Or do I not bother and just enjoy 5.1 DTS?

Press INFO on your amp and it should show something like 5.1 PCM 48kHz.

If you set the player audio output to AUTO it should send the LPCM soundtrack no probs. The receiver will show MULTI CH IN

I hope i got the right word, it's the opposite of belated, i googled it, although i have never heard it before.
