Hi am looking for a cheap blu ray players and have seen the following sony and panasonic

Sony S5500

Sony 3500

Panasonic BDT 170

they all state they have Wi-fi, DLNA and USB, only the panasonic states quite clearly that you can connect an external HDD to it and playback video or see pics from the HDD. Do the sony also have this feature but not clearly stating in their literature as they have the USB port.

As am looking for a blu ray that has all these connections

The Panasonic BDT170 does not have Wi-Fi from the specs i have read, the 2 Sony models do.

Sonys own website have the specifications of both of the Blu-ray players you mention. It states the Sony S5500 plays from a hdd via the usb port. The Sony S3500 specifications i have read on the main website does not mention it can play from a USB connected device, this of course does not mean it will not, so would warrant further investigation & having done this by reading the downloadable manual from the Sony website, it can play video, music & Photo files via the front USB port.

Hope that helps.. Regards
