Black or Silver

Is it just me or is it generally thought the all silver or all black is the decorators choise for hi-fi components.

Well just bought a silver CDP and as a temporary measure put it with my black Marantzes. Thinking it would look odd but would only be for a couple of months.

I think it looks great and when I eventually do get a Stereo amp for it, think a black version will be my choice.

Well, silver IS the new black. And that would make black the new silver. So that means....WTF...I'm all confused now. My Bryston gear is black AND silver, so that means the case is the new silver and the face is the new black which is actually silver...

I thought the K2 amp was a bit too rich for me.

But seen it in black & silver so the CC hand is twitching.

SQ is important but would still not persuade me to get pugly equipment.

The K2 is a good sounding amp at the price point and in its black and silver livery looks very good in a modern/contemporary setting - put it in a suitable rack system and I am sure it will look way cool.

Just make sure the rest of your kit matches!

I have black and silver components in my rack and it looks fine. Until reading this thread I haven't given it much thought - the whole thing just sinks into the decor.
