Hi folks

In the market for a new TV. Looking at the Samsung UE55KS7000 and LG OLED55B6V.

Any chance these TVs or TVs of a similar calibre will be on a Black Friday promotion?

If so what sort of discount can be expected? Cheers in advance all.

Hi, some people on AVForums are talking about the LG 65e6v Oled being reduced to £4000 instead of £4500, last year they took like £1000 of some OLEDs but they were the big ones, perhaps you are looking at £300 of a 55-inch TV. Costco are doing the LG 55b6v for £2150 with 5 year warranty instore and 90 returns. I am sure I will post some deals nearer the time too and others too.

John Lewis will price match with this shop:

I can't see it getting much lower than that.

Do you think that 4K DVD is better than going for an Xbox one S. Don't massively need one as I have a PS4. But a lot of extra capabilities over a normal DVD player obviously!

You mean a 4K blu ray player, not DVD player. It's better to go for a standalone player as it'll be quieter in operation. If you already have a PS4, you don't really need the extra capabilities of the Xbox One S, do you?

I suppose on Black Friday the LG 55b6v might have £500 off max, I am sticking at £300 though.

With the standalone player too you have 2 HDMI outputs, which is good if you have an older amp and for 3D too.

May now have to go for the Samsung UE55KS8000 as due to the feet on the 7000 it is 2cms too big for my stand.

Very annoying as it seems I'm paying an extra £300 just to have it fit on my stand.

Any deals on this one guys / gel? Cheers again.

My Samsung UE65KU6400's stand was a bit too large for my cabinet. So I bought a cheap TV pedestal stand similar to this one. Works fab (don't worry about its low price; the quality is excellent).
