Bit of advice needed! £500 budget for speakers

Got £500 to replace some defunct B&W 805 Matrix speakers

I have a Cyrus 2 and PSX power supply as my amplification

Play a lot of rock/metal music so im looking for a good amount of bass, and have a high ceiling room that the speakers will be in.

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated except the obvious take some home and try them (which i will be doing!)

QAcoustics 1050i seem to gain a lot of friends but personally I'd perhaps go with something like Kef iQ7 (or SE's) which can be found with huge discounts and add a sub from BK or MJ Acoustic. High powerhandling, efficient and good allrounders for not much money. I'm sure MA RS6's will be mentioned too and although I don't like them perhaps you do. I find bass to soft and the tweeter sounds cheap.

I agree the IQ7SE's well worth a listen. I'd be tempted to see how you do without the sub at first as I find even the IQ5SE's have good bass.
