bigger room makes Big difference!

what a difference a 14ft x 14ft room with a proper ceiling height makes! speakers and system now have room to breath! bass fills the room and details are now not harsh. old room was 10ft x 8ft and was a disaster! gear and room positioning make a HUGE difference! its like getting a new system after nearly 2 years in the smaller room....

Bigger rooms do make a difference, espcially to hi-fi. It's just a case of carefully choosing speakers or speaker packages to suit the room. If they're too big you'll usually end up with an overpowering bass or boom problem, and if they're too small, a thin, strained sound. Even if the above is done correctly, positioning can kill any benefits. Experimentation is the key. Before and after they've run in....

i know... moved the speakers about a hundred times to get toe in and back wall position just right. the hot seat have been born! yahoo!

Great to see the RS8 and the 840 combo given a large room to breathe now. That said, thundering typhoons, you've had that combo in a 10x8 room!!
