I have just bought a new Audiolab 8000p and intend to Bi amp it . I will be using the 8000a to drive the tweeters and the 8000p to drive the woofers. I have a pair of B&W P4s. and use an Arcam CD73T CD player. I have heard that I need to do a circuit board modification to do this. Is this true? and what are your thoughts . I am using QED aniversy XT Bi wire speaker cable

I believe that mod was only required if you were going to disconnect the internal power amp altogether and use the 8000a as an dedicated pre amp (which you aren't!).

Slight aside, try the intergrated running the bass legs too - you might be suprised!
