I thought my 46G20 had a soft image and not quite as much detail on Blu-ray as the two lcds I have had. I must have had 2 bad apples so to speak. With regards the G20 pay attention to things like halos around light sources and highlights on peoples cheeks to check for colour banding. Also look for a green tint on moving objects for phosphor trailing. I think a good G20 will be a great tv. From what I can gather it's a bit of a lottery with both the Sony or Panasonic.
