Better freeview from HDTV

Is there an easy way of getting a better SD freeview picture on an LCD TV ? My Samsung displays great Blu-ray pictures but the image quality from the built in freeview reciever is worse than my CRT set..

Is there a better solution other than shelling out for Sky HD ?

Absolutely, you can buy Freeview players / recorders which will improve the picture if your inbuilt tuner is not good enough. The Topfield TF5810 is the current award winner, but have a look at other reviews here to see your other options.

Try to get as good a signal feed as you can. You might want to consider a new aerial and decent cable

Ive recently added an ixos aerial cable to the end of my normal co-ax, and its certainly cleaned the picture up a little.

You might also consider a mains conditioner like the TACIMA on amazon.
