Sony of Course. Best for Gaming for 360 and PS3.

I didn't believe that the PS3 is more compatible to Sony sets till I started reading about issues of a PS3 connected to a Sumsung giving motion blur?? Duh....I never seen any blur on my W and V Sony TVs with BR or Games. And I ain't blaming the PS3.

My 360 is connected to my W or V series on the component cable on 1080p and no motion blur problems.

The Sony's don't lag when you are playing games, the 8 series lags!!

Get SONY! Tried and tested by me.

I spend 22 hours of gaming a week.A few BRs in between.

Clearly you weren't paying attention. The Sony is the best because flatscreen says it is. It is, afterall, tried and tested by a retired optician who plays video games 22 hours a week.

No, seriously, I agree. I would have thought a Plasma would be best for gaming. Mine far surpasses my older Samsung LCD (but then that is older and was cheaper). Then again Sony do get very positive reviews for their motion handling from what hi fi.

I'm sure the Panasonic 42" G10, V10 would be suitable. I can't comment on the performance of the Sony's since I haven't done any gaming on them myself.

me too!!!! i have the panny 42G10 & i cant fault it, i have my ps3 slim, x360 & wii & all have a fantastic picture, even on very fast moving scenery like need for speed shift on PS3, the pic quality & stability is spot on - i have not seen any issues what so ever with mine.

One of the other Haymarket Lifestyle mags in the Nov 2009 edition rated the SONY as the best for games and along with my own fact finding experiences I concur.

On the subject of input lag, true, Plamas TVs don't have the lag that LCD has but response times of 5 to 8ms isn't noticeble but above that like 11m/s then yes that is real perceptable lag. Also LCD panels are getting faster and we see them in PC LCD screen variants - IPS with wide viewing angles etc. Very very Hardcore games with their ALIENWARE PCS all use the 24 inch widescreens with very fast refresh rate. I can't think of a single 24 inch PC Plasma out there in the market?

Specifically for TVs though, LCD [especially SONY]can produce very vibrant and color soaked images and for games and photo images that's eye popping. The 'scenic three diamensionality' of the image that What HI FI seems besoted with isn't all that crucial for Games. As a Gamer I am happy with 2D.There are no plan for any 3D games from any of the big major western publishers as we speak. Even Grand Turismo 5 from SCEE may be 2D when launched?? Gamers are happy with 2D......what an irony???

So for bold colors and contrast and response time the Sony is the pick of the bunch for Games. And last but not least you don't need to switch on the 100z thingie.I never had to use it.

Because a 24" screen is too small to make plasma technology feasible. There's never been a plasma TV under 37" to my knowledge.
