Best speakers for a very small room, cost no object

I wonder are there views on this? The room is 3M X 3M (a small home office). Speakers would be put on a shelf. Amplification Primare I31. Recommendation I have is for a Harbeth P3 (small, closed box - sounded nice inthe shop, but in a larger room), but very open to suggestions - is there better for small space?

Also consider ATC's curved SCM7 monitors. Work well in small rooms and Primare electronics are known to also pair well with ATC monitors.

If you like the sound of the Harbeths, then there probably isn't anything better.

If you prefer a more "accurate" sound, the Audiovector Si 1 series is worth a try.

If cost is really no object, there are the Wilson Duettes at around £9K.

Or maybe the small wall-mounted Magneplanars with a sub?

I'm sure there are other ideas out there.

The new Spendor D1 looks interesting, though I haven't heard it yet.

The Harbeth P3 ESR or the ProAc Tablette Anniversary would be worth auditioning,

ATC SCM19 mk2 or new SCM20 (when they're released); don't worry about their size, they won't overpower your room with bass.

Or maybe a Magico Q1, if cost is really no object.

When reading the title of your thread, I thought of the Wilson Duette right away. Then again, I think of the Wilson Duette most of the time, nowadays... 🙂

I also second Matt's other suggestion: Magnepan. The Mini Maggie system, to be exact. Magnepan uses a Wadia 151 Power-DAC for home trials (for customers who have no amp yet), so the Primare should do well with the Maggies. But I'm not sure if you can demo the system where you live.

Also designed for use on a shelf are the Guru speakers; both the Junior and the QM10two deserve an audition IMO.

ProAc Response D1s. Primare and ProAc seem to have a very good synergy.

Also seem to remember when JD had his Primare (not the i31) he had AVI Neutrons to great success. I know they aren't made anymore, perhaps worth checking out.

I demoed the Pandion 2s recently: very nice speakers, but they do need some room to breathe.

Sonus Faber's Toy should work really well in that space, and you could also look at their Venere 1.5 too. ATC's SCM7 and SCM11 (old or new) are another option, and as mentioned previously, Neat's Iota.

My room is about 4x6m and I bought the Sonus Faber Olympica 1.

They look great and sounds very fine.
