Best PVR for UK Sky + HD Box without a subscription Just for the free channels(I am in Holland)

Hello to you all and I am a new joiner and thanks for taking the time in reading my post.

Ok I am an English expat living and working in Holland and I have a sky+ HD Box and no subscription I just watch the free channels which there are plenty of.
The problem is I need a Top PVR to connect to my sky box so I can pause/record programs as I would normally do if I had a sky contract.
Now reading the what HI-FI the current best PVR I see is the Humax Humax FVP-5000T but will this work ok for me in Holland?
Of course I will not use the freeview service as I am on in the UK, well I suppose I could if I get a vpn which is very possible.

Or is there another PVR which is equally good which I could connect to my sky box?

Your comments and advice would be very helpful indeed.

My sister used to live in Holland. Her Sky subscription worked over there. However she also used to record and edit from Sky to a Sony DVD recorder with HDD.

Cheers Dave for your input but I am in Holland can I still use the freesat box maybe if I have a vpn to the UK? or can I just use the Freesat PVR on it's own?

You'll be able to view and record the satellite channels without any issue, but obviously the catch-up services such as iPlayer would require a VPN

Thanks Dave for your advice will get a freesat PVR Box then already have the 2 lnb dish installed
