Best Picture Quality TV for £500

Sorry for another thread like this but little bit of help from you guys would be great 🙂

If you remember i was looking to trade the TV i got for a promotion from work well i managed to sell it and got a big chunk of my 500 quid budget from it for a new TV.

Im looking for picture quality only and would prefer an upgrade in size to my outdated 42" currently on my living room wall so 50" would be nice.

So not bothered bout the features Freeview HD/SD built in, wireless, only two hdmi's blah blah im after the best Picture quality 500 notes can get me sound aint a problem either as its getting hooked up to me onkyo 607.

After doing research i can The LG 50PK350 50" for £483

Get the LG you wont regret it,great picture and great calibration options.

You should read our latest issue, where we compare TVs you can find for £500 (at a range of sizes) and compare/contrast...

It isn't all about size!

I know you're keen to upgrade from your 42in set, and the '350 is certainly a bargain, but you could buy a better, smaller picture - or save a little longer and buy that bigger picture PLUS better quality.

I decided to view the LG on saturday in comet im glad i did as i was'nt very impressed it was running a poor SD feed and asked to try a HD feed which they had was BBC HD but i was not very impressed so i declined, ive decide to broaden my horizons and my budget seen this SAMSUNG UE46C5800 LED on display for 799 which was really nice and tbh always wanted an LED, 3D im not too fussed about but LED will look lovely on my new living room wall.

my question is i seem to find very little information regarding this TV no reviews and not on sale anywhere anybody shed any light on it please?

My sister has a 40" series 6 LED and the picture quality is very good, once I recalibrated it for her and turned off all the processing modes.

If your strugglining to find a review of that particular model, look for a review of any of the 5 series LED sets, the panels are all the same, the model numbers just change to reflect an alternative frame colour or even sales path. Usually any sold by DSG (currys/comet/ dixons) has a different model reference to those sold by independent retailers.
