I'm very new to this so please be gentle....

I'm after a setup that i can play my TV through not that bothered about a home cinema setup particularly[/b], but i would want to stream music from ipads, spotify etc.[/b]

I was looking at the Marantz PM6005 & Marantz NA6005 with B&W 685 S2's or maybe to save a few ££ getting the Monitor Audio Bronze 2's[/b]

But I'm open to any kind of config[/b]

Thanks[/b]

There are so many options.Nothing wrong with your components in mind.So just take it as an opinion and alternative from many choices. At least you must decide what sound you like.

I would prefer Nad D7005 +Kef LS50 over that system at a similar pricepoint. It´s much more compact (and sounds better imo) and offers all you need. You can add a sub if you think it is necessary. The D7050 has a "bassmanagement" where you can cut off the bass and leave it to the sub. That is a nice feature for standmounts.

If possible compare yourself.

Try Usher S520 pair it up with Nad D3020. You can make use of the dac with the Tv. The bookshelf are very good.

Happy hunting

Hi. I think the setup you have in mind is quite ok. The streamer lets you stream without having to turn on your TV, and you'll be using the TV's optical out into the optical of the PM6005. I don't know how the B&W would pair with the Marantz, so do audition if you can. But I can vouch for Dali Zensor 3, they have amazing synergy with Marantz.
