Best all-rounder for under £1000

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to replace my Arcam DiVa A75/Yamaha DSP E-800 setup with a one box AV Receiver and I'd like suggestions on which amps to audition for under £1000. Music playback is still important and I don't want to take a down-step just because I'm going down the one box AV receiver road.

Any suggestions?

I would look at the Yamaha RXV1900 - one up in the range for the award winner it will sound good with stereo and perform at teh top of its class in surround sound. For a livelier sound try the Pioneer SC-LX71 and the Onkyo SR876.

If it's one box with music in mind and you want HD processing, or at least it to accept LPCM over HDMI, I'd look at Marantz receivers.
