Sony don't currently do a 100Hz 32" and haven't done since the 32D3000 which was something of a pilot model for MotionFlow. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 100Hz 32" Sony set in the not too distant future...

Don't be put off by the lack of 100Hz on the Sony, I bought the set in December and have been very impressed with its handling of motion (including fast moving sports). I know some sets do benefit from 100Hz but it's more of a selling point put on the by the manufacturers and there are plenty of TV's out there where it just makes the picture look rubbish.

Black levels on the 32W4000 are excellent and as an owner I can't recommend it highly enough

The Pioneer KRL-32V can now be had for around £699 and it does 100hz. Haven't seen the set in action, and WHF have not reviewed it, but it could be the best 32 out there...

You could always spend £4.30 of that £700 and find out. Or simply read the individual tests, all of which are now online, and draw your own conclusions.

My dad has just bought a Panasonic 32LXD85 (100 Hz) from John Lewis with a 5 Year guarantee for £499. The picture quality on standard tv is very good. I cannot comment on Freeview as he lives in an area where it is still not available ! Dvd playback was also crystal clear with good natural colours. He also picked up a nice glass tv stand for £49.

With a budget of £700 I would consider the Sony 32W4000 or the Panasonic 32LZD85 (100 Hz), both with a 5 year guarantee from Richer Sounds.
