bdp s370 fan error

fan error came up on my bdp s370 last night, it was on top of my amp which was at half level and reasonably warm, will this have hurt the player in the long run, there is now about an inch or so between the player and the amp.

I wouldnt ever suggest sitting anything on top of an amp

I doubt its seriously damaged the sony, but it probably will in the long run

ok thanks for that, the amp is usualy only ever on very low and barely gets warm but i had the opportunity of cranking it up with an empty house and man it got pretty hot, i have now made some space between the two and wont be listening to it that load again for a while and when i do i will move the player but at the moment the space is minimal. thanks for the heads up.
