Having ebayed all my Bel Canto / Epos system and replaced it with MF / Dali, I decided to take a trial on one of the Russ Andrews Powerkord W350i Ag reference mains cords to see if it reall can....as WHF say in their review.... improve detail, dynamics, and clarity tenfold.
I've recruited some testers to lend impartial ears (I've not told them what I'll be switching around) and I've set up the room so that all switching / fiddling will take place behind a sofa!
The variables will be combinations of supplied lead or powerkord plugged straight into wall socket or via tacima block
I wonder if anyone will hear any differences... The MF / Dali kit retailed at around £7k (although I paid less than half of that) so- using RRP as a proxy for grade of kit- the quality should not be a limiting factor for the powerkord to work its RFI rejecting magic!
In return for the testers time I will be providing them with beer throughout the evening..... I am hoping that this does not skew the results!
