Bad time to buy a projector?

Would I be correct in thinking that now isn't a good time to buy a projector? Been scanning the web for both new and well-regarded older models. The older models seem to have sold out and the prices of the newer ones all seem to have taken a hike recently, presumably due to the weakness of the pound.

There has never been a better time - the projector market is full of competition at all price points and the performance from entry level machines has never been better. The currency issue has altered the prices but I dont imagine that will re-balance until the next generation of products and even then it is unlikely.

A few months ago things were cheaper and certain models like the Sony HW10 were real bargains but even at the new price it is a lot of projector for the money.
