Hi all,
I'm currently looking for a replacement for my current system (Yamaha AS500 + Dali Zensor 1) as I just moved to a bigger flat and I want to improve the quality the sound.

The listening room is around 5m x 11m. I use the HiFi mainly for music (Rock and some electronic, I like loud volumes.. No neighbours around) only digital input (90% spotify).

Unfortunately there's no way to try the system as I'm living far away from any seller or specialised shop, so I'll just really on your suggestions.

I'm currently looking at the system in the title which is quite a popular choice. My budget is around 2.5k euros.

What I want you to ask is:
Is the Rotel powerful enough to round the speakers or I'm somehow not using them at their best? Should I go with something more powerful or lighter speakers?
Is the B&W bass good and punchy (I read some contrasting opinions in regards) for my needs?

Any other suggestion is welcome!

Thanks,
Riccardo

Hi. I would look at Hegel H80 or Roksan K3 + Arcam iRdac (or Pioneer N50A streamer instead of the DAC) with Focal Aria 926 (if possible or you find a good deal or ex-dem), Q Acoustics 2050i (or the new 3050), or a pair of Martin Logan Motion 20 (or 40 if they fit your budget). Either that, or used Supernait (which also has a DAC but no USB input) with the said Martin Logans, Focals or the B&W you're considering. The Martin Logan Motion 40 have especially exceptional bass. The 683s2 might also be ok, haven't heard them personally though. If you already have a dac/streamer, you could also consider Naim Nait XS2.

Maybe you can find an online seller that accepts returns (as in online shop, not private) - or maybe try and make a trip to a dealer. Add a pair of QED XT40 speaker cable runs and enjoy.

Generally Rotel and B&W are a good match. A friend of mine has this pairing, although they are older models, and it works very well.

Thanks for your suggestion.
As far as I see you suggested a even weaker amp (hegel h80) with still quite big speakers. Do you think that it can run those speaker easily?

I took a look at the cables... Here comes another problem: I'm currently using a projector for movies so that the amp shall be on the back of my couch, while the speakers go in front of it.
I should run the cables all the way around the room (say 15m).
If I buy the suggested cable I'd probably end up spending more for the cables than for the system.
Is there any Bluetooth system to send the signal from the laptop to the amp, so that I could place the amp in from of the couch?

Thanks!
