Had the Aura's little brother the VA50 for sometime and loved it. Still in the loft somewhere with blown output transistors on the left channel which I'll get around to fixing one of these days. At the time I had the matching CDP with piano black fascia's and even my wife thought they looked stunning. Certainly drove my Mission 752's very musically.

I am still enjoying my VA100 Evo, which I have had for nearly 20 years, in my opinion it sounds and looks great. Mine is has the polished chrome fascia with the matching CD player below.

As well as the usual checks with old amps (noisy volume pots, etc.) I recommend you listen carefully to the Aura at zero volume to check for any audible hum from the speakers. Some Aura's (and other amps) are susceptible to this and the noise level varies, but you must listen to make up your own mind regarding the level and its acceptability to you.
