Audio Research DAC8 - output level and loudness

Sorry for the double post.

I have read with interest about DAC8 and noticed unusually high output levels (XLR -> 6.6vrms). Does it mean that DAC8 will automatically sound significantly louder then my current Marantz SA11 player which has the output level of 5.0vrms and is just about acceptable for low-level listening through my MA PL300? Are there other player output parameters that affect loudness of the system given no changes in other components?

One DAC8 is smiling at me but no home demo is possible where I live.
