I notice you're using Wilmslow kit, I emailed them about something yesterday, wondering how long I wait for a reply before I start getting annoyed, did you ever have cause to use their enquires address?

Wilmslow have always been very helpful to me.I will use them again when I decide to upgrade my speakers. Hopefully the will get abck to you today.

I love the idea, but the sound will be the opposite end of the spectrum to Cyrus.......and by the time you realize how good it is, you will be hooked, and other AN kit could be on the cards. :shifty:

two and a half grand and you have to build the thing yourself! Not with my soldering "skills" I think...

If the L1 kit is anything like the Oto, then that should be a good bet, although @ $1400 not the best value considering you can get a S/H Oto for around £900 so not really saving much...

Not as such, see my thread about the Ferguson Radiogram I "found", I'm looking to replace the drivers in that as the mid/bass driver appears to be a 15Ohm unit, which might be difficult to drive with a modern amp (the original amp doesn't work to my knowledge and I'm not sure I fancy 1960's transformers humming away, looks like an inferno waiting to happen! So I'm going to replace that as well.), so it'll be a straight swap into the existing speaker enclosures, I've given them the dimensions and mentioned that the bottom of the enclosure is actually open and the rear panel is flimsy to say the least, so asked them to recommend something that would work in that kind of space.

I highly recommend Wilmslow kits.

You're getting your wires crossed, Crossie is looking at the AN stuff, I'm not (especially not now I've seen how much it costs!).
