The price on last years models are plumitting and thanks to WHFsv those 4star tellys no one bought can now be found at serious bargin prices.

Just bought myself a Panasonic TXL47WT50 for less than half price and I'm suprised it got 4stars - I don't have access to 3D content at this time, but 2d HD is stunning at times from the built in tuners (its full time HD programming became standard for broadcasting now).

The question is can a 4star telly gain a star at half price or is it cursed to be a 4star telly for eternity?

(in the shop it had the best blacks and shading and one of the slimest frames, its all screen - although a philips runing a rolling blue ray with clips from inception looked absolutly amazing! - but it was an inch smaller...er, anyway to the question above.)

What hi fi have been known to re-address the star rating on tvs as competition increases or prices decrease. I recently read a review of an amp that original got 4 stars, but a price drop moved it to a 5 star rating. That being said once the new tvs come out I don't recall a revisit to old reviews being done.
