brands out there that aren't B & W. I'm looking for something within the £600 - £900 price range... Oppo PM2's are tempting me as the inners are the exact same as the PM1's, I'd then upgrade to Lambskin leather pads but thought wouldn't it be nice to give my custom to a British manufacturer if possible. Thing is, I can't think of anyone that compares to the likes of Oppo, Beyerdynamic or Audeze... any obvious suggestions that have escaped me? Ta. ;-)

I can see where you're coming from but whether it's got a union jack flag on it or not I guess the majority are gonna come from China anyway *biggrin*

I like the Musical Fidelity MF200.

Perhaps the British are just better at producing quality speakers and have decided to stick to that. Even the now discontinued MF offerings seem to have been built in Taiwan.

Well as I'm looking for something that I can use with a balanced cable I'm still looking at Oppo and lower priced Audeze like the LCD-2. As much as the Beyerdynamic T1-G2's look appealing I'm drawing the line at buying German. No offence intended to any German users here.
