Arcam Solo Neo - does CD play MP3?

Title says it all really. Does anybody know if the Arcam Solo Neo can play MP3 and other compressed formats on its CD transport. The literature is unclear.

Just been having a browse around the web, including reading the manual, and I'd say 'no'. It will play 'a multitude of formats' (in Arcam's words) including MP3, but by the looks of it, only via streaming or via a USB stick. Another big big clue is the manual doesn't explain how to browse an MP3 folder-tree on a CD, only via USB.
