Arcam has unveiled its new range of home cinema amplifiers and processors, all of which offer HDMI 2.1 connectivity and are capable of handling 8K video signals at 60fps.

These prices are getting ridiculous - I have and always will be a massive fan of Arcam AVR’s but these prices are way too far out of my reach. Still on the plus side if I go down the 2nd hand route in a few years time at least all the usual Arcam Gremlins will have been sorted out via firmware updates. Need to win the lottery failing that.

I know that both Nintronics and Hifi Healer in Herts are upgrading older boards to the newer ones for £450ish which seems a fair bit more sensible than a whole new unit but I guess I'll have to wait for a demo and see if I can tell the difference
