Arcam 400 v onkyo 818

My friend looking for a new amp is looking at arcam avr400 or onkyo 818 he likes more movies then music I own a 818 which I like but never listen to arcam does anybody own one on here ;-)

The 818 does both incredibly well, especially music and bi amped, it's a deeply impressive amp. Not heard the Arcam but it has good feedback too. Can your friend hear both together?
