With regard to the sound quality of an iPhone, I have to take your article with a large pinch of salt.
Yes you can review the output from the internal speakers. Reviewing the sound through wired or wireless headphones - really?
Since the iPhone output in each case is simply digital, the sound quality is reliant more on the external DAC and the headphones than any other factor.
