anyone using a Panasonic BDT300 blu-ray player find it a bit noisy?

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone else is using a BDT300 blu-ray player.. i put on Aliens last night and could hear the player whirring away in the background.. not sure if its fan noise or just the disc spinning in the player.. anyone else have one and how do you find it? Do you have quick start on or off?

I have a BDT-310 with me at the moment and it is quiet. I also had a BDT-110 with me last week and that was quiet too.

Is this an issue only with this particular 'Aliens' disc or does the problem persist with other discs as well?

I have the 300 and would not describe it as noisey. Compairing it directly with my 650BD sat on my shelf above. It has less noise than the Cambridge. I borrowed an xbox a couple of months back and thought I'd switched on the hoover by mistake!! That was a noisey bit of kit.

I have the quick start off, I got the player "free" with our TV and it only really gets used for 3D, but I am happy with it overall. The Cambridge beats it hands down for sound with MA & HD.
