I just stopped all the vibration (which was driving me slowly insane) in my case by sticking my Hard drive onto a sponge and attaching it to the bottom of my case, finally peace and quiet, thank you Tesco 30p sponge.

Anyone else done any weird or radical things to make their PC do what they want?

I hide my RAID unit in a cupboard in the kitchen. I used to have a media centre PC in the front room but I've swapped it for a Mac Mini.

Though I'd recommend blowing your eardrums. Interesting experience...

My Mac Mini and PS3 vibrate a little on the cabinet where they are sited; a little book or DVD case underneath gets rid of the subtle rumble.

My PC sits on half squash balls to stop resonance in my Target rack. Since then I've silenced my PC anyway though. The squash balls still help airflow through the bottom vents.
