Hi readers,

i am in the the market to replace my 2007 NAD C352 amp with something new and currently running a pair of Dynaudio X12. My options are Rotel Ra-10 , Nad D3020 and Rega Brio-r. Initially I wanted to go ahead with new D3020 but afraid it will not make a big improvement over my current amp. I am not looking for a high powered amp as it is for a small room. Features like optical, coaxial and Bluetooth connectivity was the first thing that attracted me but ultimately sound is the most important. I like detail and punch with good bass. I listen to vocals and Jazz. My NAD seems a bit tired sounding after long hours.

Other alternatives CA 651a or maybe marantz pm6005.

thanks

Do you have a Max budget? I found the brio r, although sounding beautiful and amazing, was lacking in bass to drive the dynaudio. I upgraded to a k3, a powerful amp, but I am also in a small room, but it sounds incredible :)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that a more powerfull amp will generally perform with less distortion at lower volumes, and as such a powerfull amp wouldn't be bad in a small room at all. It will just do it's job effortlessly (which can be problem, depending on what kind of sound you like).

Here's the link. So yes, looks like it's worth investing in a quality amp here, though I'm not sure it needs to be in the kW-range. *smile*

Thanks guys, what will be a good amp for my another set of speakers which is a Q Acoustic 2010i. I need something better than the NAD C352. This set will run low to medium volumes. Same sort of music as mention plus Instruments and Pop music as well.
