Hi,

I'll soon be moving and am looking into buying a decent hi-fi set up for the living room.

I did a stack of research and eventually settled on the NAD D 3020 amp and the Q Acoustics 3050 speakers.

Like many folks, I play music on vinyl, cd and AIFF format files so I've also been looking at recommended hard drives which lead me to the subject of streaming systems and a whole lot of confusion. (!?!)

...I'm now inundated with options like the Sonos which looks really sensible for future expansion into other rooms etc. I like this idea - but does getting a sonos system mean I can't integrate the above amp/speakers combo?

Or - is there a more sensibile solution for what i'm trying to achieve here?

Thank you! :)

Yes, I think you can integrate sonos. Talk to Sonos or the dealer, tell them what system you have, and you can get away with the Connect I think, which has an optical out. Or basically whatever has an optical or coaxial out, so you can connect it to one of your free digital inputs on the Nad. Another option is Apple Airport Express.

Yes the Sonos Connect is the device you want in order to integrate with your system. You can add separate Sonos speakers in other rooms later.

I have a Connect wired to my main system, a Connect:Amp in the room next door running a pair of passive speakers and then a pair of Play:1s setup as a stereo pair in the end room.
