Amp/speaker problem?

Hello, not sure if this goes here but anyway..

Sometimes when i switch on my new amp (RA-04) and turn the volume dial my speakers start going insane (with excursion) until i reboot my amp then everything is fine. Is this problem, could something be damaged or could this be causing damage. Any idea whats causing it in the first place?

I'm not too sure what is causing it; but if it was mine I would be contacting the manufacture right away.

I guess its something to do with static it only happens when i use computer to stereo output.

Ah. I reckon that's a poor or broken connection (presuming you're using a computer's cr-ppy headphone out into a cr-ppy headphone to 2 x phono lead). Start by replacing the lead with a better one, if you still get it, investigate new sound cards.
