This looks like a neat way of adding Spotify to my TV - has anybody uses it in this way and have any comments on its efficacy/responsiveness/etc? I have no need for any of its other services as have them already.

I've got Fire TV as well as Fire stick. Yet to set the stick up for bedroom TV.

Interface is very good, and videos stream smoothly. Never encountered a stutter so far (it's hard wired to the router). I haven't checked Spotify. I'm going to Bristol for a conference tonight. I'll check Spotify on Saturday and let you know.

Of course, I've just realised that there's a Spotify app on my TiVo which perhaps I should try again (though it was a bit **** last time I looked).

My Sony TV has Prime Movies and Netflix on it so am sorted from that perspective.

John,

It was my understanding that Amazon fire hardware uses Spotify Connect. So it doesn't matter about how the app performs.

i use Roku stick in the bedroom, it's Spotify app is clunky but fine for the bedroom.

Just wanted to add a little praise for the Roku streaming stick,

cheap: £34 ,Easy to use,Small . Cute remote as well.

for reasons beyond my control my broadband is currently streaming at 1.4 mg. The roku hasn't missed a beat. It streams Netflix, Spotify, Tune in, Linn jazz and iPlayer with no hiccups.

Hurrah.
