Hi, I'm looking to buy a new TV and have around a £700 budget. I currently have an old 37" Panasonic HD Ready plasma but I'm wanting to upgrade to full HD and buy a Blu Ray player to watch movies and also use the TV with my Virgin Media Tivo. I'm going to also connect the TV to my Onkyo HTX-22HDX surround system. So seeing as that I can have up to 3 HDMI inputs and 2 opitcal inputs, audio/video connections won't be an issue.

Anyway, I sit around 6.5 to 7 feet away from the TV and so I was considering getting up to a 50" TV. Viewing angles aren't an issue as I sit pretty much square-on to the TV. And luckily, as I live alone I don't have to worry about what anyone else thinks, lol.

I'll mostly be watching movies, normal TV shows and the odd bit of sport such as snooker and winter sports on Eurosport. I won't be gaming on my TV as I do all that on my PC.

So, having read the magazine and various other sources, I had my heart set on a Samsung PS51F5500 but they have been discontinued and no one sells them anymore. Would anyone be able to recommend me an alternative, it doesn't have to be the same size or necessarilly 3D-enabled but these would be bonuses.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks very much, I was planning on buying it at the end of March/early April anyway (just one more pay day away from having all the money), so I'll see what's in the pipeline but usually new models are more expensive, plus may be a while away from going on sale.
