Hi my surround sound receiver has given up so time for a new one only problem I have is space all the av receivers that i have found are too big,So after doing some research it looks like I need to get an all in one system although I have no need for the speakers or built in DVD/blue-ray but can't have it all.

Can anyone recommend one that has 2 optical inputs as need to connect my skyHD box and xbox and has good sound.

Thanks in advance.

Hi thanks for getting back to me I did think about getting the same model but then though I could use this as an excuse to get an upgrade (as long as I can get one to fit!!!!!!)

Although not as slim as your current one, the Marantz NR1601 would be a significant upgrade, about £400.
Or you could have the previous model the NR1501, I can vouch for this model, available for less money, eg Peter Tyson have it at £250.
But I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend and your other equipment.

Ok thanks, looking at them in a bit more detail I think im down to either the Panasonic SC-BT230EB-K or the LG HB405SU im guessing there's not going to be much between the 2?

Thanks

I have the Panny SC-BT230 - very happy with it - small. sleek, good sound for an all-in-one and you can get it for around £200. Works particularly well if you have a Panny TV.
