akg550/akgk712

hi all i have the akg550 headphones have had them for about a year...but the problem i have is not the sound but the damn things just dont fit my head properly...now i have not got a small head or a big head.....i have tried to bend them a little...but its not working...so i was wondering if the akgk712....are like the 550....or if there a snugger fit.....just wondering if anybody has tried both sets..as im thinking of getting the k712 as i like the akg sound

The K550 is a peculiar fit - I get along with it but some people don't. The K712 is very different. It's open-back for one, and it has a one-size-fits-all headband, which may or may not work for you. The earcups are very good though.
