Forums aint working right :help:

I have the AKG Q701 headphones on the way.

Will the AKG Q701 sound better than my Bowers & Wilkins 602 s3 speakers?
How much better will the AKG Q701 be than the Sony MDR EX 500 lp in ear phones I currently use.

My music chain:-

U-he Synthesizers at 32bit 48khz

Soundtoys Effects + Eventide effects software.

Studer A800 and Trident console simulation software
Soundcard X-FI Titanium in audio creation mode
merlin interconnect
Arcam A-85

I make my own music similar to Blade Runner and also some rock with sampled, Guitar, bass and drum synthesizers. Some trance based music. The AKG Q701 are mainly for music production and so I can work loud without the neighbours complaining. Ive based my decision on the Q701 having a flat EQ and lots of detail which is ideal for creating tracks, mixing and mastering. I found mixing with the Sony in ear headphones had way too much bass so that when I played the same mix through the B&W speakers the bass was gone So I think with e Q701 having no boosted bass it should be more acurate for mastering.

What's this about? Why do you want to compare headphones to floor standers and how did your comment get removed?

Got the AKG Q701 on order to replace my Sony MDR X500LP in ear headphones my question is how much better will they be and just thaught I would ask if they would also beat my B&W 602 s3 speakers but this question keeps being taken down by somebody or something. I think they will beat the speakers anyway as they are in a bad position for when I'm using my synthesizers the Amp is an Arcam A85.

The source is all types of music at 32bit 48khz from my DAW & synthesizers, sampled instruments.
