Need to replace my old Marantz CD 52 mkII special edition as its given up the ghost after 15 years of good service.

Can anyone advise on a suitable deck to partner my audiolab 8000A (old one).

Was thinking of the marantz cd6003.

Any comments or suggestions anyone?

the marantz is good, but also have a look at the NAD C545BEE which is more or less in the same price bracket....

or if you can afford to spend a bit more, the Rega Apollo is regarded as very good at approx £475

What is your budget pointman? Why not consider some ex-demo or even eBay for a player?

It's be worth demoing a few shortlisted players if you can.
