Having had two Samsungs go legs up( first one mother board died after 10 months, second had clouding) , I'm up for a new screen but am still undecided. I know I should be auditioning some but it's very difficult when the only shops around are Curry's or Comet. Have been holding on waiting for the 46" Panasonic G15 but, having read that it's smaller brother has noise and lack of detail issues, I'm wondering if it's going to be good enough. After all, if I'm spending over a grand I want a pin sharp picture. Don't know if the V10 series is any better, though it would have to be the 50" and don't know whether that will be too big. Do also like the idea of DLNA but wonder how much I'll use it. WHF seem to rave about the latest Sony ??W5??. Then again the Philips ranges seem to do very well but can't find any reviews on thier 47"ers. Also can't find anywhere who sell them, which is more the point.
No one set seems to be perfect in all areas. I know you will all bang on about Kuro- maybe I should have bought one when I had the chance but now they're rarer than hens teeth but also don't have some of the advanced features of the latest sets.
Getting a bit despondent about it all. By now I would have thought plasmas & LCD's to be perfected but they all seem to fall short in some way. In fact when I see a CRT, I think 'wow, nice picture'. Or am I just imagining that?
Anyway, if anyone's got any recommendations, please come forth and fight your corner.
Soz for the rambling.
